HELISKI DESCENTS IN LA THUILE

RUTOR 3486 mt .
Level: from beginner to expert
Exposure: North - South - East - West

Rutor is the "King" of the valley, with its 920 hectares of glacier and a maximum altitude of 3480m. Skiing on untouched slopes in search of the best snow is definitely an unforgettable experience.
The descents from the top are countless…France, Valgrisenche, La Thuile!!. To be discussed with your guide depending on the quality of the snow, your ski level etc….
The "classic route" runs along the northern side of La Thuile, entirely on the glacier.
It is recommended to descend to "Lac Glacier 2140m" before entering the woods, the altitude difference is 1350m.
The descent into the forest below is a bit complicated, so we recommend a recovery helicopter to return you to base or you can continue to heliski.

BECCA BIANCA 3261 mt.
Level: average skier
Exposure: North

The descent of Becca Bianca takes place along a beautiful route where snow usually stays immaculate and powder like.
During the descent we  come across the historic refuge  "Deffeys refuge” 2494mt, at the foot of the  Rutor glaciers. The view of the entire Valley will leave you speechless.
It is recomended to descend to "Lac Glacier 2140m" with an altitude difference of 1,100m.
The descent into the forest below is a bit complicated, so we recommend a recovery helicopter to return you to base or you can continue to heliski.

MONT FREDUAZ 2835 mt.
Level: good skier
Exposure: East and North

The descent from Mont Freduaz is a classic route to round off a wonderful day of heliski. The last "powder" before returning to La Thuile or to the ski resort.
It is also possible to descend on the french side.

MONT OUILLE 3099 mt.
Level: good skier
Exposure: South and West

A beautiful descent in warm sunshine. The south exposure quickly turns this blanket of snow into Spring-like snow, making this route suitable for less experienced fresh snow skiers. It is again possible to take the helicopter at "Alpe Barmettes 2000m", otherwise you can descend to La Thuile.

MONT MIRAVIDI 3065 mt.
Level: good/excellent  skier
Exposure: North and East

Magnificent route with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. It is easy to switch from powder to the Spring snow. The descent down the canyon that leads to the Breuil valley is only for very good skiers.
The helicopter can be taken at "Alpe Barmettes" 2000mt.

PUNTA LECHAUD 3127 mt
Level: good skier
Exposure: North and East

A spectacular descend that connects two different valleys. You can ski long the north slopes  up to
Chavanne valley, where the helicopter awaits. Otherwise, you can ski on the south-east  side into the Breuil valley until you come to "Alpe Barmettes 2000m" where you can also take the helicopter.
